Well, there's always turkey hunting and snow goose hunting left. But after that, I chase spawning crappie and catfish during the spring and summer. I try to work alot in the summer so I can save some money and be able to take work off during duck and goose season.

In the summer i race off-road motorcycles all the way up until it's time to hunt. 8) Then in the middle of that go fishing, shoot my bow, and piss my mom off with all my calling around the house every time I see a goose or duck go over the house. This past fall I made 3 honkers land in my backyard cause I live where there's fields that back right up to me. I justed about crapped my pant's. They just couldn't take all the double cxlucking from that MARKET HUNTER. It just was good for them the season was closed for a week.

Recooping for a week or two and then its back preparing for the next season. Touchin up decoys, practice calling, scouting for places in the spring march is a good mth to check spots if there are ducks there in march they will be there in october most of time. Also working OT to buy more gear, and taking care of the stuff I ignored during waterfowl season and what a list the wife has for me this year!!!!!

hey JPS_Flock do you use a gobbler gilletine? but in the off season i burn up the golf courses, work, fish for anything, and spend a bunch of time swimming and chillen at my buddies lake house. but my favorite thing to do is a whole lot of sleeping. that is the best thing to do.

This off season is going to be a busy one:

1) Demo and Remodel a bedroom (little one on the way :D )
2) Coach baseball (high school - J.V. and 9 th grade teams)
3) Redo bottom half of the driveway
4) Build a storage system in the basement for all of my hunting gear
5) Put a new roof on the garage
6) Paint decoys (going to a custom duck spread E. Allens)
7) Acquire my new honker spread (looks like DSDs)
8) Accessorize my trailer (shelving, decals, etc.)
9) Work on my comp goose routine
10) Practice calling in general...a non-stop deal year-round!!!
11) Train the youngest lab on blinds and work on his steadiness (Mutt Hutt) in the goose field

And a few other things that I am sure have slipped my mind!!!!

wow...I think I'll just lounge around the house for a few months.

I'm the irrigation manager for a very large school district. We live in a desert and I'm responsible for keeping the athletic fields green at 51 schools. I have 1 helper. We stay very very busy.

Water season doesnt start till April 15th so I have video to get ready and shows etc... until then. Then it's hell bent for 6 months.

Also have a few other projects:

New back lawn at the house, refinish the deck, build a bigger garden (damn I love fresh tomatoes), clean all of this years hunting gear out of the garage, do shows for Foiles and Sportear, build a blind for the new boat and whatever the wife comes up with.

Man...if I could only have a freakin' job where I didn't have to rely on a couple weeks vacation, "sick days", and personal days to get some extra huntin' in besides weekends. I would be in heaven. It's worth it to bust your hump for six mo's to do that much killin'. That's why I work equally mediocure all year so it averages out! Maybe one of these days i'll hit a gold mine....

Kelly...I wanna check out the video. let me know whenever possible brother......

Migrator, come take our test man we work 90 days a year, and get paid pretty well.

I have the fourth kid on the way, wife is due in may, this might put a small damper on my hunting schedule, and expendible income for hunting gear. Oh well, we'll still get after them next year.

Well i really dont have an off season. I guide snow hunting till they are through and then i chase them back up north. I come home, plant the duck lakes and farm. When we are done with that or not doing that we are crappie fishing on mark twain or my girlfriends pond in here backyard. She has a 40 acre lake behind her house with flooded timber in it, man is that the deal. Then after that during the summer I am hauling hay and bow fishing. Not to mention i am running around to rodeos while doing all of this. I stay quite bissy.
