Okay, finally took some video and downloaded them. The first one is me with my SMH mouthpiece/Showtime insert. The 2nd one is me with my double-reed Timber Rattler. Not my best work, but I threw 'em up anyway.

Sounds pretty good Tyler.....that showtime with the SMH barrel is the ticket.......


but Basically isnt that a SMH with a Comp insert ??...are the Comp inserts for the SMHs different then the Showtime Inserts...??

no there the same when i went to easton and got a new smh i wanted the comp insert jeff said wat color and took one off the showtime and said there the same excact thing

thought so....coundnt see him turning two different flared barrels...when it makes sence to just use the same one...lol guess thats why they fit so perfect in the SMH lol.......

Huh I thought the Showtime insert was longer? Maybe it just looks that way. I just checked and the showtime insert is about 1/2 inch longer than my regular SMH insert. But yeah the comp. insert for the smh probably is the same.

I'm trying to get that "train" down. If I got it going, I would def. be on the stage next Saturday....getting my a$$ kicked but at least I'd be up there.

mnbt- No those are just Old Navy khakis. I taped these just before I had to go to work yesterday.....I was a little bit late. Ooooppppps :lol: I've got my priorities "strait" don't I?!?! :lol:

the only comp insert thats different are the ones on the old shawn stahl version they are ivory inserts there about 1/4 inch shorter

Sounds real good Killer- I can only hope to be able to use my goose call that way by Oct. Your duck call sounds really good too .... NICE touch with that cajun squeal.. I'm still workin on that myself.

Marsh, I think the call I'm doing is what Jeff refers to in calling ducks 2.0 as the "bouncing hen". I can't do the squel yet....working on it.

Yeah your right, I thought about that after reading your post, and went back and listened to the CD. Either way I like that "bouncin" or "rockin" hen call. I'm workin on that squeal also, but that one is gonna take alot of practice.

Luke, I am seriously jealous of your lifestyle during hunting season. I'm fixin' on working a$$ off from now until September 1st so I have to work even less this fall than last. I'd say we did alright for having to go to school and work a few days a week. 250+ ducks/geese between the 3 of us......me, al, and derek of course.
