That is not cool.
Especially with the handgun pointed at the camera. At least the guy didn't take the trail-cam. He looks like a good ole boy....you got "no trespassing" signs up? Although he doesn't look like one who would obey any such sign.

That is exactly what would be in the back of my mind every time I went out there.
Might not be a bad idea to carry some personal protection yourself. But here is to hoping it never comes to that - good luck.

That sure is scary. I would hate to run into that guy in the woods.

Holly cow that is crazy? Boy that guys isn't very smart huh? Do you think that there is anyway you could find out who that is?
Shoot first. When you are questioned just say he aimed at your first. Then show them the picture and say if he is crazy enough to aim at a game cam he's crazy enough to aim at you.

If he's a local yokel the po-po and fish cops prolly know who he is. Take the pics down to them and show them to see if anyone knows him - it'd at least be enough to get him for a trespass.

Buddy of mine had a large wooded property with some stands up. Then the stands started coming up missing. The property had a fence around it with no tresspass signs. So he called the police and they didn't/couldn't/wouldn't do anything. So he put up a couple stands the next year and it happened again. Police same thing. I told him to put some trail cams up so he could see the deer and maybe catch the guys steeling his stands. He bought some cams and got a ladder and put them up around the property high enough that you couldn't reach them unless you had a ladder. Well for a while there were no problems. Then he saw that the cams and the stands were gone. Whoever the thief was took the stands down and then used them to get up the trees and get the cams. He doesn't hunt those woods very much anymore. And when he does he uses a climber.

if the police said they couldnt do anything well then....time to set up some traps! but yea I would def show this to the police....so you dont end up like the other guy losing your gear and possibly your deer.
