I shot a case of it last year and had some issues. The pattern was great, but the tolerances on the brass where it met the plastic sucked. My sbeII would roll the brass back a little and the breach wouldn't close fully thus rendering the shell useless. It happened a bunch, like maybe out of 250 shells, 30 or 40 times. I emailed Hevishot and got no response. I have never had that happen before exeept with hevishot 3 years ago and hevi metal last year. maybe my gun is funky, but its never happened with black cloud, kent, expert, ect. If they would fix it, I would shoot the hell out of it. I would love to know if anyone else has had this problem.

Why anyone would use a 3" shell for small game is beyond me. But to each there own. i used it because thats all i had that wasnt lead and where we were hunting your not allowed to carry lead at all, and when the ducks and geese are not around its easy to get up out of your blind and wack some small game .. belive me if i had the choice i would of been shooting 2 3/4 lead #4's ,......

I love the hevi metal loads!!! I really like the 3" 2's for ducks and 3 1/2" bb's for honkers. This stuff is pure carnage and when teamed with a strait heat tube, there is nothing more deadly. I have had very few cripples with this combo and my patterns are more constant.

you dont need an extended choke if you are shooting the birds at 20 to 30 yards I shot two drakes the other day at 20yards and they were stone dead. It left a nice blood trail. it is absolutley devastating stuff, I love it and if they keep it around it will be all i shoot, haven't got to try the 3 1/2 bb on the geese yet but I am sure it will be awesome

Great load, but a very dirty load. Makes it ok for regular season when you manybe shoot half a box at most. Wouldnt recomment for days with ALOT of shooting or shooting with a bunch of guys as the flax seed they use for buffer finds its way into eyes pretty easy and if your pumping out half a case a day or better at snows, your action and barell get gunked up pretty bad if your using a semi-auto.

Currently shooting it now, and I absolutely love it! I shoot a Mossberg 835. It does just fine through it!!

That's odd I haven't cleaned my Xtrema II in over a year. I just gave a squirt of BreakFree the other day.

I ran through a case in a half through two of my extrema 2s last year both with strait heats awesome performance but it is a dirty shell.

+1. I was shooting 3.5 #4s all year out of my SBE 2 with a Rob Roberts T2 choke and loved it. I was even cushing specks with it. I had a hell of a lot more doubles and one shot kills. Never noticed it or would consider it a dirty ammuniton.
