I have a shorthair thats looks similar to your girl there. He has a great willingness to please and would be a great hunting or show dog but i just dont have the time it would take to get him to do that. A friend of mine has 3 shorthairs and helped me out alot. He does the trials with the 2. He has accomplished alot with them also. He is going to South Dakota next year for pheasants. Unfortunatly his 1 dog had a cancerous tumor on her 1 tit and not sure how long she will be with him. Its sad because she is one hell of a great dog and loves to hunt more than any other dog i know. I know if it was my dog i would be devistated i can only imagine how he feels.

Yep my dad's last dog was a male shorthair. Pretty good dog. But.......he now has an English Pointer named Elie-May and she strait gets with it. She is the best dog I've hunted over and my dad hasn't really even worked with her.

DK, we should get on some roosters next fall. My dad and I have had good luck the past few years in a certain part of the state jsut knockin on doors.
