well my uncle was driving us back to our house. We were tallking about next season and wishing there were ducks to see(not many left here in MN), anyways we were driving along and a flock of 100 or so mallards are skirting these corn fields. They fly right above us and alomost every one of them were greenheads. 7 1/2 months and counting :( sorry im just letting out my off season sadness

Yea but there is soo much to do before next season. I feel your pain, we really hurt for geese this year until we went to Colorado. We didn't get the weather needed to kill um' until a week after season.

yea we had about 1000 geese on the lake by my house until they couldnt keep it open any longer(this was around Christmas). The resident birds should be back by the first of March or somewhere around there. September 1st better be here soon!

Yeah I know what you mean tons of geese still around and cant do anything and with how windy its been up here ive seen them in standing corn. I wish I could go pheasant  hunting. :)
if anyone on here is passing through Missouri on I-70, Take the time and get off at Columbia and head South to the Eagle Bluffs Conservation Area....about 30,000 mallards, plus THOUSANDS of Pintail, teal, gadwall, Canvasbacks, Wood ducks, OH GOD.......
Seriously, I sight worth driving a distance just to see....
