Last year in an interview Jeff said that a strait heat specifically for black cloud ammo was going to be made. Is there any truth to this and does anyone know when it will be available if ever?

I think he is still making one. I got to shoot some of the prototypes this past summer.

I thought the strait heat could shoot black cloud?
if it can already shoot it why made a ''special tube'' for that.

They say it can but it goes against everthing federal recommendes. Federal says to not use a wad stripping or stopping tube and not one with porting holes and the strait heat has both.

Any news on this choke tube? I mainly shoot Black Cloud and I'm looking at purchasing the straight heat. Has any heard of any problems with shooting Black Could out of the Straight Heat?

Thanks!

Last season I ran Black Cloud through my SX3/ strait heat combo and never had a problem! It actually patterned very well. It is pretty interesting to find the wads after....DESTROYED! Hope that helps and good luck hunting!

I have shot " Black Cloud" in both the pattern master and the strait heat. The strait heat wins hands down in my book. I also shoot "Fast steel" 3.5 , 1 9/16 oz triple B for geese and 3" 3s 1 1/4 oz for ducks. Do your self a favor and try a strait heat.
