Thinking about a new call and was looking for some input on the high plains honker. I have a sm honker and a sm cackler and like them both. Anyone who has used a smh ever had a hph in their hands to test side by side is it deeper, higher, more air, less air, back pressure? I know there are alot of variables to a call just wanting to know if there is enough difference in the 2 to own both just give me your thoughts. Thanks for the time.

an HPH is faster, higher, and needs more back pressure than the SMH just my input

Mine is faster, higher pitched, less backpressure, easier to blow.
Just how mine is tuned I guess.
Very nice call. :D

I am with Kelly....
The way my HPH is tuned it is a lot faster, requires a little less back pressure...and just flat out ROCKS!!! This call is my go to call as well the call I will be using in comps - that is until I can get my hands on the NEW Foiles Comp Goose Call coming out!!!!
As for the air....it's all in the tune brother. My SMH takes more air, but that is just way I have it tuned. My SMH is lower in tone...again, just because I have it tuned that way.
You really can't go wrong with this call....volume, versatility, speed....it has it all brother!!!! If you go with an HPH...tell the boys at the shop how you want it tuned and they will hook you up!!!!
