SS for comp

And I don't see alot of guys on here pulling for the DMM. But it's the raspiest duck call I own. I love it. And would blow it hands down over my TR any day.

I was in Nashville today at the NWTF convention and got to try out all the calls that Jeff brought down. I must say that I was pleasantly surprised by the performance of the double reed DMM. I've always been a single reed guy, but this call rocks. I can see using it anywhere for hunting. Very versatile little call. My fave Foiles duck call was always a single reed TR, but this DMM is really giving it a run for it's money.

You'll get the most range out of a SMM. It has a large bore, which makes it loud but it still has a good low end. And if ya want, buy a double-reed set for it instead of buying a whole new call.

Say you hunted a big river yesterday so you had the single-reed in. Today, you're going to hunt a small marsh with flooded timber in it. Stick the double-reed set in and the call will not echo off the trees as much, because it'll be quieter. Your basically switching one call from an open-water call to a timber call simply with another reed and a slightly thinner stopper that makes room for the extra reed.

Well hunting it is a TR hands down for me. But I also use a SS and SMM. I hunt alot of big water. At long range I getem intrested with the SS and seal the deal with the TR.

On the stage mainstreet SS and meat &live duck the same TR I bow in the field....

I'm gonna steer from the norm here....the wood/poly Legend double reed is my go to in the field for ducks with the DMM double reed backin' it up if I need some more volume.

For meat style or two man comps...right now it's a toss up between the two above. Leaning toward the DMM...but we'll have to see!!!!

I like my SS for working, but usually always let the TR have the last word.
