The crimescene is advertised as a very loud call but i'm finding that the showtime i've got is much louder is this normal or does how the calls tuned effect the volume.

well...a SHOWTIME is a great deal louder than the majority of our other goose calls..has a longer competition style insert in it and our original "green gut system" like our Strait Meat Honker and our other calls have. the CRIMESCENE is a whole different animal...it has an extremely open...bored out and tapered exhaust on it which that alone would make it a little more difficult to blow because it takes more air to operate a call of that type...then you add in the "blue broke in guts" and you have a wicked nasty goosey call that is VERY loud..louder than any other call we make....those broke in guts allow sounds to be made that are impossible to achieve with a regular set of guts...BUT they are a lot more difficult to operate and master. Some people excel at blowing broke in guts while others really struggle with them....if you want a CRIME SCENE but don't want the broke in guts we can install the green guts in them...it will be alot more user friendly that way and you will kill just as many geese with it...either way the CRIME SCENE is an awesome call.....check out Jeff blowing it on front page of our website or on Youtube or in our soundfile section.....hope this helps.
