Me and big ed went riding around today down by some ground that my grandpa owns down in a creek bottom because it is flooded with all the snowmelt and rain we just had and watched mallards just pour into it then we rode around just outside of town because we could see a bunch of snows and blues feeding in this field, well as we drove closer we saw some white things about 200yards from the snow geese and we noticed they looked huge. we then realized that there was about 18 swans out in this field. we started looking at them through binoculars and we saw 3 yellow neck collars for sure and there was about 5 swans that we couldnt see very well too look at them. Pretty awesome day. does anyone know where they could have been banded.

Snow goose season is open isnt it? Get on them. Id give anything to see the snow geese feeding in a field around here.

Several years ago we had a dozen swans fly over our goose spread over and over. There were 7 green neck bands in the group and it looked like everyone of them had a leg band as well. They were so close time and time again you could read the numbers on the neck bands. Sucks though since we can't shoot them here.
