How many Duck and Goose bands does everbody have?

I've only got 1 goose band, the band GODS have not been nice to me.

Dropem i thought you have an avise band on your DIY? Duckman do you have a pic 'em, are any of them tarus bands? Does anybody else have pics of there bands?

Yeah i do have an Avise Band on my lanyard but i didnt shoot it, im prolly gonna catch crap for this, as i always do from my hutting buddies, they say its bad luck or whatever, but i have back luck no matter what so im not scared of a little Bad Mojo, but that band i have was a gift from a good friend of mine lol......Thanks Barry !!!....



Funny thing is, ever since i got that band, my luck totally changed for the better so, i dont really care what anyone says about putting a band on my lanyard that i didnt shoot, it was a gift and i like to show it off, its not like i claim i shot it, ill tell anyone that it was a gift.......

11 bands 1 neck collar, got 3 of them and the collar in one three shot limit. Not that many for 25 years and several hundred geese.

Someone giving a band as a gift, to me is pretty awesome. This might sound kinda fruity but, It would have to be a special friend for me to give up a band to, Like my son etc.

i was givin many bands from the older gents i used to hunt with and have gave almost all of those away.

Nothing wrong with wearing one on your lanyard that was given as a gift. Better than buying one off e-bay and saying that you shot it yourself.

Canadas: Two Banded birds, one was double banded, $100 reward!!!!!!! So total of 3 goose bands.
Ducks: None yet, thats my big goal.

I hunt with 3 guys. We split bands up as we get them. It is my turn next banded bird. This year we got 3 bands and one was a 100 dollar reward. Last year only one banded snow goose. I thought we were in for the year of the bands when the first two birds we killed 2 minutes into the season were banded. Nothing else all year :cry:
Those are the only banded ones I or we have ever taken.
The funny thing is I have a golf course basically in my back yard and there are more banded birds sitting there than you can count. MAKES ME SICK!!!!!!

8 honker bands, 1 of which is a $50 reward band. 0 duck bands yet. I did see not 1, but 2 double banded greenheads get shot right in front of me this year. Both birds had green $100 reward bands. It seems like I'm lucky on goose bands, but never get the duck bands.

I killed them both in Ar in 05 about 2 weeks apart. There my favorites for sure!


This one had been banded for 10.5 years.

Which isnt too many after 15 years of hunting. My friend seem's to always shoot a few banded birds a year. He's got a ton!

When I was small, and the whiskers were short, the guys I hunted with were whiskey piss mean and never shared bands. Now that I am older and they are even older men they think it should be customary to give the kids the bands we shoot. :roll: Aww thanks pappy!

waterfowl hunted for the first time this year and only killed like 4 geese, but the lake i hunt has a lot of banded geese. I saw three banded geese today almost directly where my blind is goin next year. My goal is 3 bands for next year.

I will post some pictures of them. that sounds like a lot but they band them up here in 3 places in the county I hunt. And I hunt a lot with my nephews so when we shoot banned birds they don't like to keep them if they shoot them they give them to me.

i dont know how long they have been banding doves.me and DuckSmoke each killed one on the second day of dove season this year. we didnt notice them until we were doing a final count and he found his then i looked through my pile again and i had one too. his was banded in springfield il, and mine was banded in pittsfield il.
