Go 1/2 and 1/2. Great tone and better durability.

I love those 1/2 and 1/2's too...I have a cocobolo/smoke and a green diamondwood/smoke comp insert
and I just picked up an all green diamondwood...
it's such a nice call I'm afraid to put it on a lanyard though...I'm gonna hunt it for the first time tomorrow....we'll see if I can get some blood on it.... :D

I'm a hedge (bois d'arc) guy myself...I have a SMH, SMM, and TR in all hedge...LOVE THESE CALLS!!!!
I like the mellow tones....only problem is that they are just too damn pretty!!! But, they aren't meant to sit on the mantle...they are meant to be used!!!
Cocabola is my second favorite wood!!!

I like the hedge with acrylic myself for hunting but coco has a little sharper tone I think. It's all what sounds good in your head...they all call geese.

Just got back from Harrisburg for the second time. I got off my tight wallet and bought a hedge/smoke smh and a hedge/ smoke double smm. The didnt have any wood timber rattler so Big Sean fixed me up with the smm. Big Sean was an awsome guy and a damn good caller.
