Nice work... i kinda figured something like that... not very many times does a person go out and shoot one goose. unless you suck at shooting. :D :D

I was out this year and shot 1 goose. Shot 100% also. Every bird flew out to the south with the exception of 1 lost loner. We talked him right in and took him at about 5 feet.
Back to the subject at hand... This WAS my boat.

Back to the question of using a winch, marshmaster and I wished we had one a couple of years ago out in South Dakota. We were in a nice spot on a big marsh on the Missouri River, shooting the **** out of some greenheads. After we fill our limit, we get out and try to move the boat. Well in the time it took us to fill our limit, they let a bunch of water out of the dam in Yankton and we were high and dry. Took us about an hour to push that thing off that mud patty that used to be six inches of water! And then the channel that we motored out of that morning was down too so we had to walk to boat about a mile to the launch. Trust me, I slept good that night! :D

The winch is for pulling over levees. All the refuges around here are tidal, so they levee them off to control salt water intrusion and put rollers made out of PVC so you have to pull your boat over to get into the marsh.

The motor that I had was an 18 hp Evinrude. I now have a 35 hp 'Rude and it pushes the boat way better. The blind didn't hold up like we thought it was going to. We're going to do something different with it this summer.

Hey man after the openers, that spot is all yours if you want it.........well all yours and all the stupid city boys that have no concept of waterfowling whatsoever but buy decoys and loud calls and might kill a duck or 2 here and there.
We found a new hotspot. Just kinda learned the ropes of the place last year......even though I had never been there we killed our limit quicker or killed more birds than any other group out there on any given day. I think I hunted it 5 days. We'll really have 'em dialed in this fall! 8)

No, we were set up way before anyone else was. It is a small public marsh that gets a ton of people that don't know how to call, shoot, etc.

No, never called you dumb. That was just the way I read it. Public marsh's can have all kinds of entertainment.

I have always wanted to have an airboat for hunting waterfowl and moose. I don't think i've every seen someone when we go hunting. we seem to always have the march to ourself.

nice boat Miller.
That is the reason I sold mine. I could not stand doing all the work and having a really nice boat and some ding bat comes in and screws it all up. Now I just walk in on private ponds and or fields to hunt.

David - you might consider wither camo duct tape or some krylon flat back on your tubing - it glares pretty good from the light/flash, it'll do the same in the sun...
