FROM ANOTHER SITE:

.Bird count at Jumbo through this weekend possiblly was 80-100,000 at some points. Absolutely had to be in right spot on right day with right wind, and cloud cover. Thursday could have been a huge day but ten birds taken from 3 pm on. One hunter. Friday eight birds with good numbers seen but just not responding and the proverbilly one more pass. Saturday 45 birds, better shooting would have lead to double that. Heard of other local pits with 90 plus combined. Birds came in from south for four to five hours non stop. Also flying hard till midnight. Sunday all birds flew east, unfortunately we are west. Ended up with 8 Sunday. There are more ross and some very mottle juvies showing up. Amazing amount of flocks that are 60% blues, but out of 60 plus birds only one mottled blue. Will be back at it this weekend.
Our pond melted 30% Sunday so it should be fully open and which adds to the attraction!

SOUTHEAST IOWA REPORT- My dad and his buddies are killing a few. They killed their first ones on monday the 5th. Since then, they have killed some every day. They killed 14 this monday, 20 tuesday, 8 wednesday, and 6 yesterday. I have been talking to my uncle almost everyday. He says very few ross' and juvi's have shown up yet. He said that the 6 from yesterday were all adults. He also says that the juvi's that have been with adults have been the ones to be killed, suicided dropping down out of the main flock. I like the sound of it. Al and I are headed down sunday evening and are hunting from monday through friday. Hopefully the juvi's start showing up and we get some right in our face. I have never quadrupled and would love to do so. :D

I have never quadrupled and would love to do so. :D

The way the juvies had been decoying around here is should be easy so long as you make your shots count.
