FA Eliminator SUB vs. Avery Finisher

Looking to buy a blind tonight. I live in NY and don't have many places to go and try out blinds. Which of the two would you get and why. This probably has been brought up a couple times but any help would be appreciated!

Depends on your size, im 6'1", bout 170 on a good day, and my finisher fits me perfect, and i love it, but ive heard a lot of bigger framed guys saying that the finisher is a little cramped and the SUB is the way to go, my advice to you would be to go to your local sporting goods place, and take all the displays down and lay in them as you would in the field and see which one feels the best for you....

I'm 5'10 and weigh 170. The nearest cabelas is in the next state over. Driving really is not an option. It would be cheaper for me to buy one and send it back.

After hunting out of both blinds....the SUB, IMHO, is hands down a better blind. And here's why....first and foremost, it is ten times more durable than the Finisher (better built, sturdier frame). The 2007 SUB will fold down (much like a PowerHunter...three-fold) smaller than previous SUB models. That will make it much easier to carry. It has a bit more room and overall is just more comfortable. You get all that and you are not sacrificing concealment as the SUB is still low profile...not as low as the X-Land'R...but just as low as the Finisher.

But...regardless of what I said above...the best advice has already been given. YOU need to make this decision for YOURSELF. Everyone will have a different opinion of what fits them best. YOU need to climb in and around each of these blinds, take them down, set them up, etc. and make the decision yourself. But, if you do decide to go with the SUB...wait until the 2007 model hits stores (June/July)...you won't be sorry!!!

ive also hunted both and im 6'2 260. the sub to me does seem to have more room and as spence said is a little better put together than the finisher. with me layin in my sub i have room for my gun case on my left side blind bag under the back pad, extra coat for them cold days, and then 3 boxes of shells in the shell pouch on one side. then you still have to throw my big @$$ in lol. you wont be dissapointed with a sub.

I haven't hunted out of an S.U.B., but I do have a Finisher. I'm 6'1" 235 and have all the same room that SMOKE has in his S.U.B. I have had myself, blind bag, gun case, gun, 12 HardCore bags, extra jacket and a plastic bag with drinks and munchies in my Finisher and still had plenty of room to roll around watchin birds.


It all depends on what you are looking for and what is comfortable to you.
