To answer Trevors question.... Probaly not, but a buddy or two blow the MC and they' ve got it down. Last time I had one, I could get it goin pretty good, then pick up the shortreed and it was horrible. Tough to rotata between these calls, but I'm goona give it a serious try this time. The color was about the only reason I let it go. Wife ain't gonna like the practice'n oh well!

Haha...i just want to get the moan down on the MC, thats all i really need it for, is that really sick old moan with a sharp cluck....nothing more....but yeah i have heard its hard to jump back and fourth between the flute and the short reeds, without messing everything up, thats kinda why i havent ventured toward the meatcutter yet.....but i plan too...

justin..... i have never called on a flute either.... i just thought it might change the sound up a little..... as for using this one..... im not sure since it seems to be a bit of a rarity....

Also want it for huntin' over the water, last season I feel like the volume of a shortreed may have been why i Struggled a few days. Flute tone doesn't echo and slap the water near as much. I don't know... any excuse is a good excuse when your buyin' calls in April!

Well, i just basically want to be able to pick up a call and wail away, and not haveing the means to blow a flute just seems stupid to me, flutes ive heard are a great weapon in your aresonal, and could be deadly on late season geese that have probably heard every note on a short reed their entire trip down the flyway, so i think it would be great for call shy geese, but i dont know, best way to find out is to get one, and use it...

On my dad's place... flutes are still the order of the day, unless me or my brother are there. It's all I ever used until five six seasons ao when I bought a SMH from Vonnies, couldn't blow it, swore it was broke, TOOK IT APART TO FIX IT, watched the Strait Meat Way and ain't never looked back. I actually pulled over on the way up 213 and took it apart before I even got home. "Gotta be somethin stuck in this thing"

i bought my First SMH off ebay, off a guy in NorthEast somewhere, it was his wife who actually had posted it up for sale and when i talked to her in email she didnt even know what it was, but she told me that he said he was a flute caller, and couldnt get the hang of the short reed, it hadent been tuned since he bought it, and back then i was retarded to tuning a call, so i think the first 6 months or so i had it i had been blowing it outta tune, well showed it to one of my buddies who also is a FoilesAHolic, and he said man that thing sounds like crap, messed with it for about 5 seconds, and i payed close attention to what he did, and after that, the thing sung...and continued to sing up untill the day i traded it, not to long ago, kinda wish i woulda kept it, it being my first and all, but just think that SMH and my Max4 MH was all i had at the beginning of last season, and look at me know....10 here, one comming, when will it ever end lol..

thats basically the whole reason i made that one, im mailing it to Jason, to get it Inspected, if he likes the workmanship, and the braiding, then with any luck i will be.....keep your fingers crossed...
