mondays bite........

well boyz what started out as a normal monday left me in the emergency room for 6hrs. i was workin on a ceiling fixture off of a 12ft step ladder when i was hit with the most gut wrenching pain i have ever felt in my life. i just made it off the ladder without passing out! i could barely walk or breath because the pain in my back and chest was so unbearable, i thought i was having a heart attack. the guy i was working with rushed me over to meet my wife and we were off to the hospital! as soon as i hit there door and told them the problem it was game on! i had nurses and doctors swarming me like buzzards on fresh road kill! the next thing i know i was being hooked up to everything under the sun, from an EKG machine, oxygen, IV, heart monitor, pain killers, the whole 9 yards!!!! after series of tests from blood work to xray's, they discovered i had severly pulled the muscles in my back along the inside of my rib cage between my shoulders. i have no clue how this happened but let me tell ya this hurts like hell and thank god it wasnt a heart attack!!!!!! i can barely type this right now cause of the meds im on.............daddy likes theze and they sure make ya's feelz goodz :D i'll be back on later......just to drugged up to do anything, but tryin and lay down.

Hope you get to feelin' better ASAP. A ceiling fixture? Electric work? Could have been a shock causing your muscle to constrict, but that normally only happens on 277? Try to relax and enjoy the mmmmmmeds.

Dude, that sucks, its prolly the whole workin over your head thing, being a Grease Monkey, i spend half my day with my arms over my head, and my neck, back and ribs, take a pounding, especially trying to muscle front ends back straight again......

I have had that same thing!!!! It is the worst pain ever.. I had it happen when I was doing dead lifts and I thought I was going to die.... The problem I have had since it happened is my back is weaker in that spot and if I dont watch it, it will happen again. The muscle was damaged and will never be the same.

What exactly did they give you Barry? I've gotten vicadin several times for numorous things and they gave me oxycodine (not sure about spelling) when I fractured my ankle 3 or 4 years ago. The oxycodine was great! :lol: About 3 weeks after I broke my ankle, I was out walking in waders in a very swollen ankle....I could barely get my foot in and out of my boots. It was worth it though....if I remember right me and a buddy killed 8 or 9 ducks. :D So what I'm trying to say is you'll be back at it in no time.

oh yea.......ive got the good stuff for sure!!! vicodin, darvaset, flexiril and 800mg motrin, the presciption kind, not the generic brand.

even this morning im still very sore, but gonna try and work! I dont know which is worse this or when i fractured the C4-C5 vertibrays in my neck from a consrtuction accident in 1998. I dont dare take the good stuff during the day or i'd be a feakin zombie! just gotta work through it.

I had something similar to me when a rib shifted from my vertebrae and pinched a nerve. I couldn't hardly move without falling over from the pain, it was totally disabling. I went to a chiropractor and had it completely resolved after about three days, with a few follow up visits afterwards.
