Well i finally competed in my first comp. today, meat duck. Like i figured i let my nerves get the best of me but i still finished it out and didnt come in dead last. i got 7th out of 8. I need lots of practice but i figure if my nerves arent so bad at the next one i should fair better. I can only improve from here so i am just happy to have gotten up there and do it. Also met a couple guys from the forum so it was in all a good day.
thats good takes alot of guts to get up on the stage good job 7th for your first comp is very good

that's the key ....getting the monkey off your back. But every contest you still have those butterflies. I started the same way dead last in my first couple contests, but hopfully I can qualify for the World's this year.

Yeah Richie, you got bigger ()()s than me right now, cause theres no way im getting up on that stage, i probably will one of these days, but i need to get back on a day to day practice with my calling, between the dog, life, lanyards, the show season comming up, i just been slackin on my calling, and i heard it today up in PA at the callin and grillin, but i kinda felt myself getting back into it the more and more i called, with this new SMH i just got, i picked up two more notes rock solid, so give me some time let me get my nerves up, i will be up there eventually, prolly making an A$$ out of myself.......
but as of right now, im still luggin that monkey around......

well all i can say is whens the next contest. i will be nervous at that one too but not anything like i was for that first 1. They arent as bad as what it seems. and even if you think you suck, no matter what you do in life, you gotta crawl before you can walk. but to run with the big dogs, thats a whole nother step.
