I Absolutely LOVE my sirius radio!

I got a 6 month subscription when I got my truck. It was not a selling factor and I could have cared less. But after listening to it for 7 weeks. I wouldn't go without it.

Not only that. You can use your account to listen on-line. So I play it at work, and for background noise here at the house.

Also, If you want to you can go their web site and get a free 3 day trial to listen to it on-line.

I have a 30 gig Ipod....love it. Has videos, pics, and music ($250 new). Get you an FM Transmitter and it's like carrying around every cd you own. Just wish iTunes would wake up and let you download dvd's to it like you can cd's.....BTW any help there??? I know there are some pirate sites, but which is the best?

Depends on your taste. I've never been big on downloading music, and don't own an Ipod. Put i don't think I'd go without sirius after having it. If you decide the 3 day trial isn't long enough let me know.

Yeah I was iffy when I got my Sirius, but after having it for a while, I can't see how I would be without it, and from the last news letter I got, by this time next year, Sirus and XM will be merging which means more channels, more comedy, more news, and more music,

if it wasn't for the comedy stations I don't know how I would get thru my day

i have a 30 gig video ipod and its awesome, i have over 6000 songs on it and there is still plenty of room...it basically goes with me almost everywhere like when im walking to class, in the library, and when im driving and working out...so basically it you can take an ipod with you almost anywhere you want to listen to music and put just about everything you would want to listen too and nothing that you dont

I know you don't want to hear this Steve, but eventually you will want both, especially if you're a music freak like me. Here's why:

First of all, my wife and I both have XM which is pretty much the same as Sirius. If you're into non-music radio (news, sports, etc.) while in the car, the iPod won't cut it. As for music, you'll need the sat-radio in order to come up with new ideas/songs to download from iTunes for your iPod. Otherwise you're just listening to the same songs/playlists all the time.

I have a 40 gig iPod (music only) that's about 3 years old. It's a little clunky, but I'm still into it.

As for the wireless FM transmitter, I have two and have had little luck with them because you're constantly driving into an occupied FM frequency; consequently, you're practically going off the road trying to toggle up/down in an effort to find a vacant freq. If you have a cassette deck in your vehicle, go with the cassette hook-up option (it works great for me). If not, get some stereo-install-guy (hey that's an idea for the next Bud Light "Real Men of Genious" commercial) to install a hard-wire hook-up for your stereo.

Sirius is also starting to off their backseat TV broadcast. Right now it consists of 3 channels.

If subscription rates scare you buy the lifetime package. That is what I am going to do. 400 something for the lifetime of that radio. You can transfer it to a new receiver up to three times for $75 a transfer. If each radio lasts 3 years you are looking at 400 (something) +75 + 75 +75 = 625 (or something). 600 something for 12 years of service.... Not that bad.

that really dont sound all that bad when u figure a 60 gig ipod is like 400 bucks and it might break or wear out. then u gotta shell out the money for a new one. 75 sounds a lot better then 400

Just something to think about. I'll go get the actual amount...

Sorry brother. Told you wrong. It's 499.99. Not 400. But still worth considering.

Word of advice on SIRIUS: DO NOT LEAVE YOUR CREDIT CARD ON FILE AND WATCH YOUR BILLS!!!!!!!!

I have gone round after round with these people about our account. They love to pretend they don't know anything and love to double bill you.

Check them out on the Better Business Bureau on customer service and billing issues.

Only put up with it because they have the best stations.

i have to clear up a few things here;
-sirius is not losing money, if they were losing money then why are all the pro sports stations all being taking from XM and put on sirius, in the next couple of years all XM will have is the PGA
-also, i do not think you can mail your payments, almost 100% sure you have to use a card of some sort and can get subscriptions for 1 month, 3 months, 6 months, yearly, and so on. i've had it for a little over a year and love it
-bubba the love sponge on howard 101 is the sh*t, you have to listen daily cause its like a series, once you get into it and know the lingo its hilarious, and p.s. the playboy channel is bullsh*t
-also i thought the customer service was good, i had it in my jeep with my pioneer cd player, when i sold my jeep i sold it with all my stereo stuff, got my new GMC and they called about me cancelling my subscription and i told them i sold it and they sent me a plug-n-play tuner and all the wiring needed for free!
