I'm not sure if i'm the only one here who does it, but I spend my free time in the summer runnin' demolition derbies. I run w/ about 4 other guys and i'm tellin ya, it's all buisness. These cars are built and set up like you can't believe! I just figured if anyone else wants to discuss this, it's a change of pace :). Here's some pics of what the Foiles Migrators Demo Team looks like. It's also an inside look into our rigs!!! Hope ya enjoy lookin'! Let me know what ya think and if you have any experience or just like watchin' em.

The car on the right was this years Jerseyville's 2005 car in it's infant stage :)

First hit in the heat at Jville w/ Foiles Sticker on the roof!! 3,500 people in attendance!

Made it to the feature..and had electronic fuel pump problems. Here's a small look at what the inside looks like. ( After Jville)

After 3 heats at Jville, we wen to the Calhoun Co. Fair and ran. This is the 6TH HEAT on this car. If it wouldn't have been for a malfunctioning fuel pump..I would have won! Notice the helmet :)

We're hard on 'em but it's something everyone should do once! Just don't get the money wrapped up into it like us...ewww :P

i saw one demo derby. it was strait up crazy. some cars had like racing engines in em, like 700 hp.

Oh i know..the pic where my buddies car caught on fire, he's got 3 grand in his motor..it's all bored over and edelbrocked up..big cam and so on. It doesn't even look or sound like it should be out there. When it comes down to it though..he's got the power to get out of a tight spot.

A guy from my hometown makes derby themed t-shirts. derbytees.com is his website. You guys should check it out. He has some pretty funny stuff on there about running demo cars. He also has a bunch of pics and schedules.

That car he won jerseyville w/ came from paducah down by your neck of the woods. Those cars are where its at...(below the rust belt)!

you and my buddy evan would get along real well. he builds drag race cars, he had a metal barn built in his backyard just for his car and car stuff. we take him huntin some cuz he's a terrilble shot and we like killin his birds 8).
