Just wondering what types of sounds you guys use when you have geese that are just flying passed , and your tring to get them to come to your spread. I have this happen almost every time I go out . Just looking for some tips on how to get those geese to come over my way and get a shot at them.

are you usin lander flags and calling? lander flags are a HUGE help to passing geese. Basically like jeff calls them your "strait meat" sounds is all you need which is your clucks, moans, feeding growl, and comeback.

I have 2 lander flags that I use and a kite flag . We wave the heck out of them and the geese still keep on going , most of the time.

I bust out the Cackler cal and just go hell bent on them as fast as I can. Sometimes it works...sometimes it dont.

Traffics a tough deal, there no way to know what those birds are lookin for so you just throw everything you can at them.

Flags are a big help in this situation, but it is key to remember not to go too nuts on the deal.....you still gotta keep it relatively real in this situation. But your best bet is to go nuts on your call, break out the fast stuff on your highest pitched call you have....that sound will carry the best for you.

Like Kelly said, he gets on his cackler, and I do the same, get on a high pitched call and give it to em. And when and if you get, then back off a bit, using the calls they are responding to the best. One day that may be some moan clucks, other days just clucks, other days, who knows, but it is key to watch the birds and see how they respond to the stuff you are giving to em on the call.
