ok so I have never done any goose routine. What does it entile, I mean what do I need to include in my routine? I have no idea how to contest call.

Get on CDC and check out some of the contest Soundfiles they have on there, or just go back and listen to some of the routines that are in the Contest Forum.....


Basically a goose routine is this

Hail Calls

Working Notes ( fast clucks, moans, double clucks )

Laydown work (soft moans and Clucks, Feeding )

Comeback ( Spits, Trains, Moans, Comback Calls )

Laydown Notes ( See upper )

Finishing work ( your best softest goosiest sounding notes )


thats a really bleak breakdown of a routine, the best way is to listen to a few and use that as guidelines to what the contest callers are doing !

ya never know....if your having issues with the Routine style, Enter the Meat contest...its more geared toward how you would actually call geese in the field...you dont need all those Crazy Notes !

Download it, and ( IF YOU HAVE A MIC ) and its only a Demo, but it will record 2min files, perfect for a 90second routine...

if you have any other questions regaurding this, or need me to help you with the program let me know...and i will try and help you the best i can...
