I have noticed a trend the past couple 6 months or so growing towards the HPH. I'll admit, I don't know how long they have been out. But I would venture out to say going on the third year. Why the sudden popularity?
Thoughts? guesses?

It's a good call. I think alot of guys like the design. The screw together fit is pretty cool. Personally, I think it is the best feeling call in the hand. I really like the insert and how with no turns or edges it fits in my hand..

Don't try to sell me one! I've had one for almost a year and enjoy it. I picked it up as I wanted something besides my Fat boy, my SMH, and I like it better then the Market Hunter.
It just seems that here lately it's picked up a lot of steam. Maybe I'm just over thinking it though.

I have 3 of them. I think it's just the feel...the speed.....the sound. It's diffrent from the SMH. I have a Flamed Wood one that is my favorite call!!!

I agree... Great call. It just seems like there is a surge in popularity as of late. Am I the only one seeing this? Or is it just my imagination?

no your right! there is a popularity to these calls lately, something about the lower end , speed and extra volume over a SMH. i'd dare say its in between a Showtime and SMH.....love mine!

I just got one today. Bourbon/Clear Stillwater Edition #1300 (Lucky 13).
I can't stop blowing it, my wife is going to toss me out.

I posted about this on the Gen Dis forum too. I had always been told that the HPH and the MH were hard to run and get used too. Told they were way diffrent from the SMH, so I always steered away from them.
I have been laid up for a few weeks from a back procedure so I spent a lot of time on the net checking things out.
I finally broke down and ordered a HPH and MH in flamed hedge.
The HPH was very easy to run and get used to. The best part is it will get down and low and goosey but will get very fast when you get on it.
THE HPH IS FLAT OUT AWESOME!!!!!! I own about 25 diffrent calls, 20 of them goose and this call is by far my favorite and most versitale call hands down.
I didn't think there was ever gooing to be a call that would replace my Ivory or Maple SMH but the HPH has done it
