Showtime?

what do you guys think of the Showtime? Is it a good call for hunting? Louder than the rest or what? WHat are he pros and cons?

I got my showtime back in December as a comp call. Ended up hutning with it the rest of the season. I love it!! As far as pros and cons, I only see pros. Its louder than the SMH, but you can get soft with it also.

does the comp insert make it softer or does it vary

the comp insert will be louded beacuse the bore is more open than the regular smh insert.I use my showtime to get the attention of the geese,then I use my SMH to get them to finish.They work great together!Thanks and I hope that helps

The Showtime is a excellent call in the field or on the stage. I started out last season using the Showtime as an attention getter but it wasn't long before i was using it all the time, i love it. Has great high and low goose sounds. :D :D :D :D

The Showtime is a great all around goose call. Able to produce great goose sounds, it is louder than the other calls, maybe with the exception of the SMH with a comp insert.....it would be close, but is able to be backed off on and have good laydown stuff as well, oh ya, a bit mellower tone as well from the longer insert.

As far as the cons to the call, all I can think of is that is takes a bit more air(not a ton more, but a noticeable bit more) than a non-comp insert. All I can offer you is to try and blow it, and see if it works. It is our comp call, not the call most learn on, but can be done, just tune it appropriately and you should be fine. Otherwise I would recommend the SMH and get going on it, and buy the Showtime before season to compliment the SMH.

And yes it can be used for hunting, I do, and know several others as well. Let us know what you decide.....hope this helped you out a bit....thanks

I already have a SMH and love it i was just thinking of another call one that could possibly be use in comps. I have a deal goin on one and i think i am goin to get it. I will post up on what i do. Thanks guys for all your help!
