don't give birds too much credit for being smart - they're clearly a duck paint job on a goose form, but they'd still kill ducks...

i use to work a plastic company who made those for herters ,i use to hunt over the 499's goose decoys sure did beat buying them .

I've hunted with guys who have had these...they were one of the first full bodies out ....needless to say they are huge...but from what I saw they work pretty good. just me 2 cents

I just thought they looked hilarious. Didn't say they wouldn't work. But held up to other decoys I still think it's one of the worst I've ever seen. And yeah I kinda figured that it was a goose decoy painted like a mallard. 8)

That is kind of what I was thinking. They are a bit of history, but I have seen the opposite as well, magnum mallard dekes painted like canadas.

If they were cheap enough I would buy them ,even if they do look a little off.
