I have never meet any of the makers of calls but I assume that they are all great guys and have learned for others.

The biggest problems that scare us (hunters with cash) is not knowing how to adjust these over top exspensive calls.

Here is the idea When you mold the guts of your calls have indicator lines inbedded in the call parts. This way it would not scare us so much on the secret to how they work.

I am sure the mold maker could easiely do this and not effect the call at all.

The little instruction sheet could say the middle tone of this call is wedge at 6 and larger green piece (sorry do not know what it is called) is at 4.

Just an idea through it out if you do not like it.

By the way watch out I plan on starting to get into compititions :P

Thanks

Yeah good idea man. I had to send my SHM to get tuned right during the season.

well i had my call sent in to them to get retuned right before the season and when i got it back i put my own marks on it with a marker so that when i have to take it apart i can line everything back up and still sound just as good as it did before i took it apart. just something i did to make it easier for me. i also took my spare reed and layed the new one on top and marked my spare reed the same way.

So what do you think?

My honker has been blown enough you can clearly see where the reed should be. :D Good idea to mark them, though. You can also buy a few lower end calls and learn to tune them yourself.

That is what I am starting to do now after 25 years of being afraid to pay big bucks for a call I would not know how to drive.

Thanks for the advice.
