Well boys..2000 miles later I'm back from a hell of a time. I first met up w/ Scott Curtsinger on Wed. night and we headed out thurs a.m. to shoot some prarie dogs. It was slow at first but once that sun came out..you talk about shootin' all day long! I was shootin' a .17 hmr which is lethal but the wind was blowin' that bullet all over the place. I had to start figurin' out how to compensate then I got on a roll! I'm tellin' ya, Scott has got permission everywhere down near lubbock. If you boys want a good time, I suggest givin' him a holler and gettin' in on this deal. Their guide deal, Longneck Outfitters is on top of things when it comes to those geese and sandhill cranes as well. They've got a hell of a success rate! In the end..I shot probably 70 dogs or so and 2 Jackrabbits and a cottontail. I had to leave at two to head to paducah texas and it was JUST GETTIN' GOOD! Here's some pics of just a few of the dogs we killed......

I left there and headed to paducah texas to meet up w/ a close friend of mine (ryan) who's doin' his masters at texas tech on wild turkeys. We hunted on this 28,000 acre management area and i'm tellin' ya there's game everywhere. The first hour I was there I saw..mulies, whitetail, quail, turkeys, ducks, and a boar. We hunted hard for 2 days and I finally was able to kick this 150 lb. sow up and had a poor shot running through the mesquite (which I missed) and she ran a death coarse right to Ryan where he downed her in her tracks at close range. We were both shootin' 30.06's. Check out the teeth and heads on these bad boys!

I brought back a sixer of Bud Light from Texas last year with a picture of the state of Texas on the can. That cracked me up being from Mo. home of the King of Beers.
