Please, guide me to some threads where (other) manufacturers have spammed their product and I will.

Heres my problem, I have several compainies who have paid more than double what I asked from MDL that run banners on the front page and none of them spam the Forum even though they can. I cant think of (PLEASE correct me if I'm wrong in the intrest of fairness) one other company who has been allowed to continually post thread after thread of their product.

I have not been unfair, I like Jason and Justin, is it fair to the others who have paid to sponsor and advertise on this site that MDL can for free?

Am I really being unjust? Justin has been allowed without interuption to post a thread everythime he braided a new lanyard. I never said a word.

If your sig contains a personal website it is OK. If your site is a hunting site that does not sell a product it is OK. If all you sell is a t-shirt or a sticker for your website it is OK. If you have a link to a Sponsor of Foiles Migrators it is OK.

Kinda like going to Ford and asking if they will help you pay for advertising your Chevy dealership.

FA helps pay our bills, should we allow their competition to advertise here for free?

Putting a link to Foiles will help your site get higher on the Google searches. Putting links to the biggest sites in the hunting industry will help. Part of the Google algorithm picks links and cross links based on their score and scores you accordingly. In English: Put up as many links to big sites that you can, trade links with as many little sites as you can. It will help your search engine placing.

I don't know what went on and don't really need/care to. But I do have a question (somewhat off-topic).....is it alright for me to post "Foiles Migrators" in my signature on other forums? I have it in my signature on several other forums (flocknockers took it off) and several people have asked if I am on their staff and of course I have told them I am not, just one of many strong believers in their calls the company as a whole. We did take action against a couple of people and MySpace not long ago. Someone had a fake Jeff Foiles account and since he has the name as a TM we got it back. Tyler NO thats not a bad thing at all...kinda leaves out the BS and keeps the honesty in the sport...I like all the companies that I am affiliated with, if I didn't I wouldn't use them...I know your the same...I was just showing that guys can have a personal agenda in there posts when they feel soo strongly about X brand of product and drag the rest of the other sponsors down...most guys that have an affiliation with a huntin' product would never post a negative comment about a competitors product...just make ther company look bad....I have seen you posts on other forums and they are positive without dragging alot of crap into them...joe

I have to agree here it's Foiles Forum...Kelly can make the rules....that isn't too hard for me to figure out...you like it great...you don't then you don't have to participate.
I use all of the forums and each has their own intricacies....I am not a fan of the fuge.....been a member there the longest and the amount of bashing, ass kissing and mindless posts of what is your favorite call drive me insane, I love waterfowler.com it is a pay site and keeps out there trouble, I love it here becuase it is a bunch of like minded guys that know their stuff and the best source of lowdown on FMI. I do like Flocknockers...once you accept the fact that Cliff takes no **** that forum has one of the most knowlegable member bases online ...I had my FMI Field staff in my sig for a while there and didn't know I was breaking the rules after a while a moderator sent me a polite PM and I removed it.

Brian, it's hard for me to give examples as I don't know what arrangements have been made between FMI and other companies. But one can look at the sponsor page you listed earlier, and then find links to other companies that are not on that page within the signatures of FMI pro-staff, which I referred to as employees. Sorry if there was a confusion.

This whole Thread has traveled so far off topic its not even funny any more, the whole situation was between me and kelly, and we have settled our differences, and this whole deal has just grown to Forum Bashing, Advertiseing and Sponsorship Rules, and Questions about this and that, that really have nothing to due with a serious issue....

Couldn't agree more. I was just stating that if one is going to enforce a policy, then it needs to be a uniform policy that blankets everyone. Not just a select few.

H20...I have spoke to Brian before you had posted this...from my understanding the objection is related to links to websites and not pro-staff accomplishments....I would be more then happy to remove the Snake River Lanyard prostaff in my signiture if I was asked to by a moderator or employer of FMI...but I don't think I was asked to...on the guide deal...Sean has stated that Burbank was in the works of sponsoring the Foiles forum...I was always told that unless you have a dog in the fight then just stand back and watch the show....and it has been a pretty crazy show....Brian R. good talking to you....joe

I'm not bitching, I could care less. I like Foiles Calls, I like this Forum, But am tired of the "you can't put that there cause you haven't paid me" BS. So if a policy is going to be written and enforced. Then write it correctly, and enforce it properly.

Ok due to the events that have un folded all sigs. that contain a non paying sponsorship must be removed by Friday 5 pm cst. or they will be removed for you.

If your sig contains a personal website it is OK. If your site is a hunting site that does not sell a product it is OK. If all you sell is a t-shirt or a sticker for your website it is OK. If you have a link to a Sponsor of Foiles Migrators it is OK.

This may make some of you a little unhappy but this is the fairest way to handle the current situation.

My only dog in the fight is that I like this site, I like foiles calls, but am tired of all the bickering and BS that is coming out on here. If you want to establish a forum rule, or policy, Great. Are they bad examples? It's simple, sometimes employee's get perks the general public doesnt. People who work in theaters get to watch movies for free, people who sell 4-wheelers get better pricing when they buy one, people who work at Cabelas dont pay retail...I'm sure you get some perks in your life that I dont, should I start a thread to cry about it?

Not to bring up a dead horse but if you think that these rules are ridiculous you should see the rules on the Ohio Waterfowler forum. I thought it would be a forum for Ohio waterfowlers to talk on but I was wrong. It is only for avery and zink users to talk on. avery, zink calls, and ghg are their main sponsors. If you put that you are pro staff for a different company in your signature or use a different company logo in your avatar they will fine you $1000. :shock: The even erased Rushcreek Gander Landers from my sig.
