How much louder is the SMM/SR over the DMM/SR?

I personally think that my SMM in single reed is a lot louder than my DMM single.I hope that helps

im not prostaff.....but there is definitely a noticable difference between the two calls....the smm has quite a lot more top end than the dmm

the smm is technicly louder than the dmm becouse the smm has a larger exust tube and the dmm is more huntin oriented with a more closed exust tube giving a more ducky sound and the reeds play a big part to if the reed has the corners cut off that will dramaticly decreese the valume and give a more ducky sound . so deepending on how boord out the exust tube and how much the reed is cut deepends on how much valume is there if the reed is left square and or cut just a littel bit and the exust tube is boord out a lot you will have a loud call . to me the dmm is just a good huntin syle call that is sort of like the suv of duck calls. just my 2 cents.
