This will be the second FULL season for my MEAT CUTTER. What is a FOR SURE sign that its time to change the reed??

If you blow it a lot, it has got to be shot. MC reeds will wear probably better than 2 to 1 vs a short reed. I am betting it is time for a new one...call the shop and they will send you one out.

I agree with Nick, Just call the shop and get a new one. I try to change my reeds as soon as I see or hear anything abnormal.
