Has anyone heard when the new duck call is scheduled to come out? I'm anxious to blow one.

I am anxious as well, I love gettin new calls, but I can't wait to see what they look like.......I heard it is pretty ducky.......should be good......congrats on the naming of the call.
I think Kelly had said earlier, it was going to 4-6 weeks from the shot show.......maybe he could answer with a little more accuracy than me.

Same here! I love new calls and I'm really pumped to get a call with my name laser engraved in it! It'll be a nice addition to the lanyard! :D .

Muntz, how'd you get started with Foiles pro-staff? Are you the same guy that I've seen hunting with Realtree roadtrips with Michael Waddell?

Hell I wish that was me :)!! No...I've just been around huntin' and started into the callin' deal (which I never took serious until now) and I know Jeff. I'm intertwined into the whole foiles circle...I am good friends w/ a few other pro-staffers in my area, Bryan McMurtrie and Drew Ward who just came on board w/ me. We are all gonna blow his calls and represent him and FA to the fullest!

Well, good luck on that! I'm just starting to think about doing some competitive calling. I entered in my first contest this past Feb. here at the Indianapolis Boat, Sport and Travel show, at their Deer and Turkey Expo. It was the first year they had a duck and goose calling contest. I was really nervous, calling in front of all the people and the other contestants. Around all your buddies it is no big deal, but you wander what all the others think of your calling. It is somewhat humbling. I didn't think that I did very well compared to sitting there and listening to the others calling. But I was surprised when I recieved a 4th place finish (1 place out of the prizes) :( . But it was a good learning experience. My buddy told me that I was the loudest of them all, and the clearest sounding, but I ran out of air at the end and quit short of my time, I guess that hurt me. It was hard to gather my air, I was nervous, and the building was a little cold inside, and I left my coat. I envy you guys, being able to make a living in the hunting market. I love to hunt, fish, and like every outdoorsman, would love to do it professionally. Hard to do when you have a family to provide for though. Any way, good talking to you!

Good to hear you tackeled your first contest!! I still get sick nervous getting up there..that to this day is my biggest downfall. And oh yeah...I ONLY WISH I MADE A LIVING DOING THIS!!! Not even close. I scrap to find hunting time between my pheance and work. I'm an 8-5 guy like most people and sometimes just a weekend warrior. I have to strategically use sick days and vacation days to get off to hunt! Anyway..stay on the callin' deal...it is good for ya :)

Yeah, I take my calls with me whereever I go, they hang on my lanyard from my rear view mirror. The guys who work for me just love me calling in the truck all the time. Some times I hurt my own ears from being so loud in the truck :D . I'll probably start working on a routine, and practice to call in some more contests. I definitely need help and work on my goose calling. With a duck call, I very confident, but with a goose call, I can hunt but not a comp. caller, need a lot of work. How about you? You guys hunt alot of geese over there. You're probably born with a goose call in your mouth? .
