I have 7 doz and I am extremly happy so far! Its a learning curve as I am use to tossing my decoys. I know they just started using a new flocking on the honkers that is super tough and the honkers in general seem rock solid. Honestly I can't stop looking at them as I am convinced that one day they are going to jump up and fly away!

Daves decoys look nothing like a decoy...Dave is one of the nicest guys I know...I think they are worth the price and are easily one of the most realistic decoy on the market....I love his honkers

Those decoys are a joke for hunting. FFD's will kill the exact same amount of geese as DSD. However if you are some kind of nut who likes to look at great decoys buy some. I did, I bought them for me not the geese I am hunting.

i like them...my buddy has a bunch and i dont mind hunting over them  ...i have noticed though that out of a spread of 8 dozen lessers and a dozen honkers 90% of the birds wanted to land where ever the honkers were...we have tried this with a avery setup too and the birds would suck to wherever the honkers were and we even moved them around the spread...pretty wierd if you think about it too hard...maybe its just luck

Ben,
Those Dakota Decoys do look great and the owners are making some big claims. They say they look as good as DSDs and are as tough as BFs and they are going to be a lot cheaper. Those would be the dream decoy. We will have to wait till they hit the market to find out for sure. I know one thing so far their customer service seems to be on the ball and IMHO that is a #1 priority in business. Who knows they may take the market by storm.
But as mentioned above the DSD crew are on it as well. I have only dealt with Brad on the phone and a few of the advisory guys via PMs. Both times on the phone with Brad were close to an hour each. And him taking my order was the last thing both times. Infact it was me that brought it up as I know with as busy they are his time is precious. He just kept answering my questions with a lot of patience and we talked a lot about hunting. I felt like I was talking to a guy I had been sharing the blind with for years.
I don't make a ton of money but the the decoys but the fact the decoys are made here in the USA, the great looks of the decoys, and the customer service are what guarentees DSDs will get my $$$. Its the same with Foiles calls. Outstanding product and customer service. Everytime I call the shop and make a purchase I feel like I am part of the family. You can't beat that!

It is back up. It is basically only a one page site with some pictures and contact info. I never asked for other pictures as the ones that are posted to me don't tell a true story of the decoy. If you e-mail them maybe ask for more pictures and post em up if the send them.

I think the decoys look great and if I had the money i would probaly get some but I have one queston the wire thats is between the legs on the decoy, what purpose dose it serve . Im guessing extra suport but couldent Mr. smith have intergrated that wire threw one of the legs . or am I compleatly wrong ,I dun know.

Justin,
If you talking about the metal you see in the second picture that is part of the stand. The honkers are on a circle motion stand. When you buy them they are not silver like in the picture.

They are great looking decoys but like said earlier 5 doz FFD's would work for me. I just cant see spending that much money on decoys when the ones I have work great. Just my opinion though. They are probably the best looking decoys i have seen.

Heard over on the fuge that Sportmans Wharehouse has them on closeout. supposedly DSD sre only going to be sold from DSD directly. I think there just over $159 a 4 pack for Lessors.

They are nice looking decoys. But not sure if they are worth the price, but then again they are made in america and ya can't beat that. Once again nice lookin decoys, but i doubt i will be adding any to my spread.

i admit they are phenominal looking decoys but when your blue collered like me 300 bucks for four just aint gonns cut it my ghg and fa decoys are gonna have to cut it because I simply cannot afford any others. And just to think 10 years ago shells worked just fine.

That would be a steal cause he's got them at $199 a four pack for lessers on his site.
And just to think 10 years ago shells worked just fine.
Yeah they worked great 10 years ago and they still worked pretty good 3 years ago when we were still using them. We got rid of all our shells basically and got full bodies with the craze but I wish we wouldn't have. Would love to have them back for early and late season(if we get snow). The full body/shell spread looks great in the snow and it don't take much to fool them in September.

As soon as I graduate from college and get a good job I'll by my self dozens of em but untill then i'll just stick with what I got .
These decoys are embarassingly overpriced, at the game fair you could win a dozen and it said it was a 900 dollar value. I couldnt stop laughing at the prices on these things. If a goose is close enough to see my dekes are Greenhead Gears and not DSD's, they should already be dead.

Overpriced but realistic..rather have my Shoremen stuffers. No way I am paying that much for those dekes. EVER!
2-3 doz ffd's vs 6 dave smiths same affect!! lol Thats the gayest thing i've read in a while.

I was at the Loveland, Colo. store and they had three boxes of the fedders for $159.99 a 4 pack on the lessers. They are awesome looking decoys, worth the price that is up to you.The motion system is good, and the paint scheme is awesome. If I had that much coin to blow I might see getting 4-5 dozen. But I dont so I will stick with what has worked great for me. :)
