Smell the smoke!

Has anyone staked out the new little resident birds yet? It is getting close and not a damn thing ready yet for season But a pile of them ready to be smoked in a few months

We have started scouting everyday. And we are working on some new spots to hunt. Alot depends on the farmer at this point. We cant wait

I got the same problem there are plenty of places to kill birds just no body is saying yes but im realy used to hearing NO!!!!!!!!!!

Are you guys seeing residents flying already the birds in my area are sticking tight to the water and not moving much at all. That is usually the norm here until mid to late Aug....

Yea the birds here are the same way I have seen a few flyin but they stay on the river and lakes until the beginning of August then we start seein em headin to the fields and stuff.

We got 3-4 farms lined up already, you guys shouldnt have procrastonated this long, we spent some very long days in the car in early june.

well we got several thousand acres lined up so far. Trying to get a few more than last year. Gots lots of residents hitting up the golf coarses and small farm ponds lately. didnt hear anything on resident season yet but im hoping they up the number by 1 or 2 for this season.

It's been so dry here that the rivers, ponds, and lakes seem to be shrinking. I have been out scouting alot of fields but unless iwe get some big rains i'm gonna be hunting potholes.
The birds are staying close to the ponds and such, not alot of flying around either.
