There will be a charity cause duck & goose calling contests event on Aug. 18, 2007 in Colonial Heights,VA. Also, there will be an opportunity for kids and adults to come out and learn or improve their calling techniques from prostaffers of duck & goose call makers before the contests.
The calling contests entry fees will be donated to the Wheelin’ Sportsmen in Virginia. If some of you do not know of the Wheelin’ Sportsmen in Virginia, this is a group of outdoor sportsmen confined to wheel chairs. Some these folks are disabled veterans.
Dance’s will be donating prizes for 1st., 2nd. & 3rd. placements of each contests.
Everyone is encouraged to come out and be a part of this charity event.
DUCK CALLING contestants are required to demonstrate the following four calls in the following order
#1 the “Hail Call”
#2 the “Lonesome duck (hen) Call”
#3 the “Feed Call”
#4 the “Comeback Call”
The contestants must complete calling these four calls within 90 seconds.
GOOSE CALLING contestants are required to demonstrate the following four calls in the following order:
#1 the “Hail Call”
#2 the “ComeOn Call”
#3 the “ComeBack Call”
#4 the “Confidence Call”
The contestants must complete calling these four calls within 90 seconds.
Registration forms with rules/regulations are now available at Dance’s and will also be available at the Registration Table the morning before the contests.
All contestants must be registered by 10:00 on August 18, 2007.
Registration begins at 9:00AM and close at 10:00AM on August 18, 2007.
The contests will begin at 11:00AM.
Folks, at this event, you don't have to be a diehard calling contests caller to participate. This event is for everyone to come out and enjoy themselves for a great charity cause.
