Well as most of you know I went in for surgery on my shoulder the 19 of June. The Dr. and therapist both said I wouldn't be shooting my bow by archery season, which is Sept. 1st. They even told me that it won't happen by the late season which is Nov. 19th. Just before my accedent I sent my bow off for a new string and to get it tuned and also ordered a dozen new arrows. Well sunday my bow was brought back to me. Man it looks damn sweet with the new string. Depressed a little I paid for the damages and took my bow inside. Put it down and watched as my 17 year old son picked it up drew it back and said "Wow this is sweet"! Last night I done a little braiding on a lanyard, had to take a leak and walked by my bow to the bathroom. Still feeling a little depressed I thought how bad can it be. I strapped on my trigger, picked up the bow and gave it a little test. I wanted to see just how far I could pull it back without feeling any pain. I figured as soon as I felt any pain at all I wuold let it off. Much to my SUPRISE I CAME TO FULL DRAW!!!!!!!!!!!!! I let out a scream "FU##IN A I can pull it back". Yes I can pull my bow to full draw. I done it agian to make sure. WA HOOOOOOOOOOOOO......I will be archery hunting this fall!!!!!

Great news. Just don't push it to hard to fast. Sometimes once you start to feel pain, the damage has already been done.

Everything is fine. Feels great! I went to therapy this morning and the therapist couldn't believe that I could pull it back. Everything is healing faster than he expected, but I did promise hiim I wouldn't pull it back again until I go to my Dr. on the 29th for my next check up. He said its the Drs call. He thinks that I may be in shape to shoot my bow come Sept. 1st which is opening day of deer season! ! !
