I think the Whitewater in the max-4 is my pick. I just bought a whitewater
for my 9 year old also. He loves it. :D

my herters is warm as hell I am serious. I rode a snowmobile at 80mph in low single digits. And I didnt feel a thing.

I love McAlister clothing. Just dont have the cash to buy most of their stuff that i want. But if you got the loot it is really nice. Also the rivers west eider series jacket is the cats sack.

I like my Whitewater, I have abused it for a couple seasons, and it is still going strong. It is warm and dry, and they don't break the bank when you buy one.

Good post as I'm in the market for a new Wading Jacket also. I'm leaning towards the Drake LST cause of the spring loaded pocket.
