Are you looking to call duck or goose? There are a few different types of contest formats for both. Next step would to be go to a contest maybe not enter but observe how it works there are a few rules that you to know before taking the big step on stage. There is a few contests going on this weekend down your way over at the Bass Pro shop in Hanover MD. two mainstreet duck contests and a Open goose contest hope to see you there and in the bullpen.....

Go to callinducks.com and listen to routines to see how they run.

Def. go and watch a contest and see how they are set up. Also callingducks.com is a great resource to find out what typical routiens sound like. Then you have to practice over and over, putting together a routien of your own. The hardest part is getting up on stage and completing the cycle.
For me the hardest part was the bullpin. Sitting in a tiny room(freezing cold) in Burlington waiting to go up and give it a shot. Really intimidating when you have a bunch of guys that have been doing this for a long time and have alot of wins under their belt. I know that Big Sean and Cody Hopps would remeber that bullpin.
