goose callin 2.0 is good. itll teach you stuff from the field to the stage. and if you practice callin in your vehicle like i do pick up one of jeffs strait meat cds.

2.0 is a good DVD, there is quite a bit a beginner could pick up on it. When I was beginning I wore out Callin the Strait Meat Way (Jeff's first instructional), I found it to be the most help. There are some things he does with a picture in picture that helps see how he is using his hands, etc. It is older, and on VHS still, but it is a good one.
My rule of thumb was when I was beginning was to watch and listen to almost everything I could get my hands on, inlcuding hunting videos. Both videos have their strong points....let us know what you decide or if you need any more help....

The Calling Geese 2.0 video is great, like sk=moke said Jeff's CD's are great also, I listen to them when driving around in my truck a lot. Kelly's new DVD Goose Hunting 101 has some great info on tuning calls. Lot's of good resources here on the forum and at the Foiles online store.

Shawn Stahl has a good calling video called honder talk. He explains everything in it from how to hold the calls and when to use certain notes. If you are just starting out it should help a ton.

Well, I sent my call in to the shop and got it tuned to blow a little easier (thanks alot guys!) and went ahead and got callin geese 2.0. watched it for the first time on Sunday and again in portions last night. It is indeed a great video but man I am havin a hell of a time making alot of the sounds per Jeff's instructions. I will keep at it whenever I have free time and hopefully it will just come to me like he says in the video.
Anyway, thanks for all the advice....

Glad to hear everything worked out well for you. 2.0 is a great tool to have when getting going on a short reed. However, don't become frustrated by not being able to make all the sounds right away.......you just gotta keep on it....it will come in time.
