hey guys I'm looking at purchasing a DMM for a trip to Canada this weekend and and was wondering your preferences/differences between a double reed and Single reed calls.
Singles are definatly louder and still Raspy as all get out, but you'll loose a little low end. Where as the doubles are not quite as loud have an awsome lower end. Personaly I run my DMM as a single and my TR as a double. Either way you should do fine.
Hope this helps.
hey i have a dmm dr and i love it very good volume control and very raspy easy to blow were at in colorado do you live

Go with a double, but get a single-reed wedge so you can convert it.
Yes, buy a double reed. If you want a single reed just take the smaller of the two reeds out, and you now have a single. Personally I think double reeds are way more ducky.
