Fasteel users have you seen these?

I just picked up a box of 3 1/2'' bb's 1 3/8 oz 1550 fps. to reload my shell
belt.. Funny thing i opened the box and said to myself what tha f@#$ is this!!!
the shell casing is a bright red... yes i said red!
Has anyone seen this before? I've been using Fasteel for 5 years and i have yet to see red shell casings.

I checked all the other boxes i have, but they all have different lot numbers.. I dont like to buy ammo this way but i had no choice. :?

yea ive seen it since snow season. i like the silver better but in my mind it doesnt really matter because my gun will eat them and spit them out no matter what color they are

Have you guys purchased any fasteel lately that did not have red shells
in the box? My buddy bought fasteel the same day i did at cabelas in wv.
have'nt had a chance to talk to him and ask him to look at his boxes.
I guess its no big deal but the bright red will take time getting use to.

I bought a couple cases back in july, i have only opened the 3 1/2 case but they were gray, but i havent opened my 3" yet i guess i will have to check that out when i get home.

I just bought 3 1/2 2's and they are still the same old gray, besides the color is there anything different or new with those shells?

If red hulls bother you, pick them up after each volley.


I still have the gray hull Fasteel shells, and after every volley I am out picking them up. Everyone I hunt with picks up our hulls after each volley. That little brassing on them shines like no other.

We always pick up our hulls out of respect for the land owner, I will not leave a blind or a field with trash from me in it. More than once i have had to clean up after someone else. If you are going to hunt private propery or even public lands clean up after yourself! ! ! Pack it in pack it out! ! !

Look in no way did I say it bothered me... That those bright red shells were
going to be lying on the ground for all the world to see! We do pick up every shell casing at the end of the day or after each volley. Good hunting spots are just to hard to come by to leave anything left laying behind.. The red casings just surprised me a bit! Thats the only reason I was asking

gr8hntr you just spoke a few woeds for 1,000 people who are good hunters and dont leave a mess and if they do they should be castrated. i haven t seen the new red color either.
