Which Dead Meat to order?...

I tried to call the shop this morning to pre-order a dead meat, and they where closed for inventory. This is probably a good thing, because I can't nake up my mine, do I want it in single or double reed, I am thinking of getting it as a double reed, and see how I like that, and then maybe pull out the second reed and try it as a single. I allready have a DR Timber Rattler, and a SR SMM.

Oh it is definately going to be in Calhoun Redneck.

Kelly, Brian, Big Sean, or Muntz, if you have heard the difference between the two throw out some advice.

Brian Get your tuning fingers ready, cause I will proably be ordering an HPH to go with it (black and Ivory I think will look nice in that call :wink:

Jeez...I hate tough decisions. I would order it as a double and pay to have them tune another reed and wedge for the call and send the extra reed with it. Then you can do whatever you want. Should only cost you a couple bucks extra.

I hear ya max4, I'm in a little of a predicament too. I already have an smh, hph, and an mh, so I was going to get a new duck call. But now that the showtime came out I really want that too. So do I go with a the showtime first, or the strait street.

Sounds like you need a Duck Call, but It is always fun to buy calls in pairs. I think the the Strait Street and the Showtime would make a nice pair of competition/meat calls.

Let me know Muntz, I plan on pre ordering monday, and am thinking Kelly's idea sounds like the way to go order it as a double reed then order a second tuned single reed and cork so I can swap it out.

Id do what kelly said too. Im currently havin midwest cut me a single reed for my legend so i know if on my smm tr or dm if i wanna get singles or doubles. the smm will be a single but on the others i dunno yet gonna try it and see. i think im gonna hold off on the tr or dm purchase untill waterfowl weekend so i can blow them both and see which one i like.
