Im still fairly new to this duck callin deal and have been workin at it pretty hard. the chuckle has been the hardest thing for me to learn and im still havin probs with it. again i blow a double reed legend at the moment. i just had midwest convert it over to a single tonight though just to see wht its like. i can almost get it with the single reed in the legend but he brought his ss and tr by my house for me to try out and i CAN do the feedin chuckle on both of these calls......Whats up with that???? LOL is it just the change of mouth peice or what???

yeah it prolly has to do with the top barrel bore size. it prolly has a bigger bore so its gonna require more air and if you are new at duck calling then its gonna take some practice to get you use to using more air for different calls. and another thing is maybe the strait street and timber rattle were tuned lighter than the ledgend. try and get ur ledgend tuned lighter and see how that goes.

Doing a rollin feed on a legend is a bit more difficult than the rest......why....I really don't know the answer to that question.

But I do know this, that is a real live duck livin in that call......that call is a good call to have in the arsenal.

As far as the feed goes, I personally do not use the rollin feed in the field......nothing but single cuts strung together with drag quacks......it is a more natural sound. I use the rollin feed on the contest stage, and thats where it stays......whether or not you needed to know that, I don't know......just thought I would throw it in there.....good luck.....any more questions, please ask.........maybe someone with a little more knowledge on the call make up can answer your question with more certainty.

i think the difficulty has a lot to do with the barrel size. only thing i can really think of. the strait street was tuned hard for comps but the tr was tuned kinda light but i could do it on both. of the duck calls i have tried the legend probably has one of the smaller barrels. i went with the legend first because i was just learnin and didnt want to shell out big bucks for a call right away. i still love the call lol just cant chuckle with it the greatest or sometimes at all  i guess though if all your buddies can do it and u cant it really wont matter. they will pretty much cover up your lack of chuckle.

I think a good, ducky single cut feed is most effective.....all it is is just a shorter version of a quack.....and to do it, I kind of say the word "shook". And just vary the inflection of your voice to get different sounds and throw some drag quacks in there and you will sound like ducks on the pond. Give it a try, and let me know how that works for you. Just trying to give you some advice..................hope this helps.

i hear u smoke, i just let my buddies chuckle most of the time. when im by myself though i use the single cut too. seen a lot of days when the birds dont want to hear that rollin chuckle, slow it down add some quacks and i would say it sounds better in the field.
