Ahh yes... prarie dogs. Nothing like throwin an old mattress in the back of a truck, settling down with a cooler of beer, a couple good friends, some good music, leaning over the 22-250 and making red mud from 300 yards away.

Sometimes we will load up the .22's and just see how many we can shoot in 30 minutes.

we have "whistle pigs"here in Idaho, basically what you shoot, just a miniture version. I usually shoot mine w/ my .17hmr, it's pretty graphic, I am making a slideshow now when I get it all done I may find somewhere to post it. We get badgers every once in awhile...those are fun to

i'll shoot the 17hmr every once in a while, but the wind out here pushes it around to much. Has to be a pretty still day for it to run. Looking at making a 10-22 in that mach 22. I think that would be a kick in the pants.

Ever try racoons? Find yourself an old farmhouse and run a crying racoon tape. You can hear them literally breaking out of the walls to come help. You can bust a good 5 or 6 in 5 minutes of less.

I did when I lived in Florida, we had a corn bucket hangin in a tree, and would pop em w/a .270, never used a e-caller, I use mouth calls for yotes

I use a 22-250 Remington 700 with h-s precision stock and buriss 6-24 power. 234 Ruger Buriss 6-24, 17HMR Marline With A BSA Sweet 17 Scope.
And a 25-06 Tompson CenterEncore with a custom bull barel and a buriss 4-14 scope. Mostly shoot GROUND HOGS and those Calibers clean them up nicely  Happy varmit hunting to all, hope there is enough to hold me off till waterfowl opens back up

I have been known to hunt yotes from time to time

I use a 22-250 or .223 depending on location and style of hunting.

we do al little yote hunting around here, i use a 6mm for that. I like using an e-caller, but ther is alot of guys around us here that run dogs, usually see them out just about every weekend. We do some coon hunting too, had a few good nights this past season, we like to use a .17 for those. Our only problem is finding someone to buy or sell the fur for us. If anyone knows of a fur buyer in central Illinois let me know.
