Remington SPR 453 semi-auto or Benelli Nova pump in max 4

hey guys ive been wanting to buy a new shotgun and im undecided on what to get btween these 2 guns the new remington spr 453 and the benelli nova pump. i was just wondering if any of guys have these guns and what you think about them. and hopefully that will make my decision a lot easier. on which gun to buy.

I dont have either gun but a friend of mine has a Nova and that gun has really been to Hell and back, and has never not shot a shell. Thats what I would go with.

havent shot the rem yet, but i can tell you that if you can get over the ugly looks of the nova it is a tank of a gun, i've dropped em in the drink and just turned it upside down drained the water and it shot /functioned like a champ. plus its a benelli, need i say more?

I would personally go with the Nova. I have a Nova 20 and love that gun. It is so much fun to shoot and cycles flawlessly. IMO Remington has gone down hill. I had 2 Remington shotguns go down in 3 years. My 870 Super Mag broke 3 times and finally Remington refunded my money and i bought an 1187 Super Mag. The first 3 1/2 i shot through it broke the link from the bolt to the action spring ( yes, i had the extra gas ring out for shooting magnu, shells). When i called Reminton they asked what happend & when i told them the guy laughed and said it was because i shot a 3 1/2 through it...................... The F'n gun was made for that. He told me that the metal they use on that part is too soft and it happens all the time. I replaced 4 of them after that. I had to carry them into the blind with me. I finally got my SBE II and will never look back. I sank both of those gun's in the pond i hunt. I would'nt dare sell them to anyone.

thanks for the inputs guys. i use a good old remington 870 express most of the time and never had a problem with it and i know that benellis are great guns also becuz my buddy has a SBE2 and he has had no problems with that also so idk yet if i could i would prolly buy both guns :D

Believe or not i have both of these guns. I dont have the spr but i have a baikal which is the EXACT same thing w/ a different label and just bougth a new nova both guns are good guns it just depends on what you want to shoot if u want a pump or a semi auto i never had ne problems with either gun though.

Thats Remingtons new Sparton line of Imports, to say the least there more problems that there worth. The Nova is probably one of the best and fastest pump guns made today, That'd be my choice.

SPR453, I own 2 of the Baikals and they are awesome guns. I hunt 60 days of ducks in Missouri and I have never had a problem w/ them!!!! Guaranteed!!!!!

I owned a Nova and its a Boat Oar. Rattle'n forarms and non-shell extract'n POS. IMO
