geese on the golf course, should you be able to hunt them?

This sounds funny, but im a golf pro in Longmont, Colorado. Right know im looking at apoxx. 300+ geese out here on the course! there here every day and i bet you at least half are banded with neck bands! wish they would let people hunt out here! Now here is somthing even odder, i have permisson to hunt no more than a half mile from here, on property that they band the birds on. Kinda like a patch of privite land right next to a city owned park with five lakes. Never killed a banded bird out of there!

I have a buddy in Michigan ware hunting is allowed on golf courses, why i dont know? He dose very well with that? any body else able to hunt on a golf course? Where? Any banded birds?

I hunt on several golf courses in Northern Illinois, an opportunity available to me by having a partial ownership in the courses. As far as being able to from a legal standpoint, i assume you would need to find a course which is not in city/village limits to start. On the course which we recently built within village limits, i negotiated special rights to be able to hunt before the course was built.

As far as leg iron, I shoot 7 or 8 a year out of approx 300 birds. They band them about 25 miles away, and 80% of the banded ones I/we shoot come from there.

We hunt them out at Meridian Golf Course...... I-25 and Lincoln...... Right next to business and apartments.... The club offers it as an amenity.....
