I have some scratches and nicks on my Beretta 391. How much does that usually cost to get it fixed. I dont want to ship it into Beretta. Just curious to see what you guys have paid for this service in the past.

Camo, Blueing, Wood, need to specify. I know they sell blueing pens and touch up kits. For the camo I dont know. Wood you could sand the stock down and refinish it.

Dont fix them, they are status symbols. Just like leaving your hulls in your blind.

I wouldnt worry too much about it. I have a camo, and believe me...there will be plenty more, so I wouldnt worry bout it!

Are you hunting with it or you hanging it on the wall. scratches and dings are what gives your gun history and charactor

I dont want that gun to have character. I want it to be nice. Not sure about you but a $1000 dollar shot gun is not something I want scrathces on.
Its like saying a new car that has a nice ding in it is ok or good to have.
I hunt pheasant with it on occasion. I primarily use it for targets.

Yep character marks. I'll bet your gun has scratches that no other gun has...therefore the scratches give your gun a little character that's all. My SBE has all kinds of character marks....it's not about who's got the best looking gun IMO....it's about who's got the best killing gun.

It's a tool. Tool's get scratched, dropped, dinged, scuffed, etc. If you don't want that then leave it in the case and buy another gun.

Do all you think I am talking about an Xtrema...? I am talking about a Beretta 391 AL Urika. Not typically the type of gun you want to break ice with.

Broken less with more....
At the end of the day it's a 1000 gun, just like so many others. The difference is in the wood. Best of luck in getting it fixed. Let us know what you find out.

I think Tyler said it best I gives the gun character. I have a $1200 SBE and you know what I did't ever want a scratch in it but Face it. It is waterfowl hunting, If you hunt hard it is impossible to not scratch your gun. I can solve your problem hang it on the wall. If it is your first scratch or two you will get over it and the next ones will be easier.

Are the scratches in the wood, or the bluing? I have been known to do some furniture refinishing in my day and have redone some of my own gun stocks.
I'll PM you the address of my FFL and you can ship it to me. I'll get it fixed up for you and turned back out in a week if you want.
