Migrators in southern Illinois

Has anybody heard if the migrators are in southern ill. yet. I'm leavin to hunt ballard co ky This tuesday.

I'd appriciate it if anyone could let me know

I live in carrollton IL which is between springfield and STL and the geese are deffinately here.

Hangin out would be my guess. did some layout huntin the other day by the illinois and we could see them over the bluff comin down in huge groups. yesterday on the way home from trap shootin ther were headin to fields. went and check the fields today and they had jumped across the road. its really foggy here u can hardly see more than from light pole to light pole in the country. If they are there agian tomorrow i know where ill be monday :D along with about 50 decoys and 3 buddies.

Been checkin the field the last couple nights and the geese hopped across the road to another corn field so id say its safe to say they are hangin out.

Tomorrow mornin the slaughter begins muahahahah :lol:

my buddy killermiller is down in novue ill. and they are just busten the geese down there i guess. hope this helps

Hit the field today and me 2 friends killed 4 geese. we saw a ton this mornin and not very many at night. we probably would have killed a lot more but we spent 30 mins tryin to get my truck unstuck so that kinda hurt us. tomorrow were leavin my truck at the entrace of the field lol.

SuperX2, I have been hunting with my dad around Nauvoo Illinios. Lots of birds, but the birds we've been trying to get on have been landing in a plowed field where there is nowhere to hide. I shot two geese and two greenheads Thursday evening while my dad was out seeing where all the birds were going. One goose was banded!! Literally thousands and thousands of birds using the river and both sides to feed on. Me, my dad, uncle and buddy cut our 8 geese outta one flock today in Iowa. 7 out of the 8 had leg bands. Unbelievable!!! I've gotten 5 honker bands this year!!! More birds heading your way. I heard they're closing Illinios goose this Wednesday because the quota has been filled. Thats sucks bigtime!
