I was just wondering what you could hunt for if you had the money or time, it could be anything not just birds. I would hunt moose and sheep in the yukon.

thats hard....I think my dream hunt would be a 10ft grizzly spot and stalk w/a recurve, or cape buffalo..Any of y'all that dream of Africa should buy books by a guy named Peter Hathaway Capstick(SP) , I just finished Death in the Long Grass, and its a great book, his writing style is excellant and it really puts you there.....They are kinda pricey, but you can get em used at barnes and noble or amazon.com

I would love to hunt cacklers. I killed one in southern illinois two years ago that was with a flock of giants. I just love the way they look and I probably wont ever have the chance to kill one again in illinois. The only chance I have is to go out west. It is hard for me to hunt anything besides ducks and geese. The whole time I am hunting deer I think I am missing some good goose or duck hunting and I cant have that.

I like the way you think. I couldhear the waterfowlers shootin up a storm down on the Illinois river last year while I was in my deer stand, and it was almost to much for me to take.

I didn't even bow hunt this year. I feel that if I'm in the treestand then I AM MISSING BIRDS AND BANDS, and that really gets my blood boiling. After this spring turkey season I have figured out why I waterfowl, It is easier. The turkeys here in Iowa the last couple of years have been screwed up. We have had two warm springs in a row and the turkeys just wont gobble. They gobble for about and hour in the morning and then shut up. I believe that because it is warmer they are mateing earlier and have lost their reproductive drive by the time season rolls around. Dont get me wrong I love hunting turkeys but it has just been frustrating the last two years.
I am a Waterfowler by heart!

Last year I got to go to Arizona to hunt Elk with a bow. It was the most unbelievable experience. To sit and listen to Bulls screaming at almost 10k feet elevation and then trying to outsmart them is just awesome. I did get a off a shot at a 6x6 at 60 yards and watched my arrow sail right over the top of his back. Two days prior to that I let a 5x6 walk by at less than 30 yards ( I kick myself for that now) I have killed quite a few ducks and geese and 2 nice bucks. But for my money, It would definately be ELK with a BOW.
