I finally broke the draught. I haven't shot anything since the pheasant opener here in Iowa. I got on some geese tonight and put the smack down on them. And if I hadnt shot them there were 3 more flocks behind them

You should be getting new birds in shortly, if you haven't gotten any yet. Here in central Iowa, we are covered up in mallards and honkers. Most of my family live in and around Ft. Madison and they've been shooting good numbers of mallards on the river. Do you have a river blind?

No not a river blind. I have a blind on goose lake. It is a lake 10 miles north of Quincy and about 1 mile east of the river. Secondly, I am at college right now in Peoria. I have two more weeks and I finally get to go home for some good huntin. I can't wait, I hunt here in Peoria with some buddies but it hasn't been worth the trouble to even go. It should pick up soon!
